I am a member of two gyms, Body Ethics in Hitchin, Hertfordshire owned by Shane Raymond & Fitness First (Hammersmith, Shepherd’s Bush & St. Paul’s). Finding a great gym that you feel really relaxed is important, and finding the right PT that is focused on working with you and your goals is equally important.
I first joined the gym in 2009 at Fitness First Hammersmith, and to be honest I was very nervous, even when having PT sessions, but as the years went, I started to feel so much more confident when I started to see changes. In August 2020 I just happened to find Body Ethics, and wow was I so surprised ! Firstly, the staff are welcoming, and you feel really comfortable when walking in. It has all the equipment you need, and it’s super clean. With COVID I’ve never felt worried about being there.
Personally, I feel I get more from training in a gym, it helps to add definition and work on muscles that we tend to ignore. Once you understand how to use the equipment correctly, it becomes second nature.
