As we get older, our ability to recover from the effects of stress cortisol decreases, and the hormone lingers for longer periods in the body. Too much adrenalin decreases blood flow and diverts nutrients and oxygen away from the skin, which allows toxins to build up, leading to problems such as breakouts and cellulite.
